Mitch’s Sports Minute: Intro
We are thrilled to have Mitch and his weekly column on the Nortpac Sports Network. Mitch works hard to tell the stories of and promote sports in his home state of Montana and town of Billings. This is his first guest column on the site and we look forward to more.
Mitch’s Sports Minute: An Introduction
Guest Column by Mitch Bohn, Sports Reporter and Media Personality Billings, Montana
Hello everyone, I want to start out today’s guest column with a thank you to Merrick Parnell who came to me with this opportunity and I jumped at it. With that, I wanted to take this first column to introduce myself to you the reader.
My name is Mitch Bohn and I am from the great state of Montana and specifically Billings Montana. I am an avid
sports fan, some may say I am a junkie ha. My love for sports came at a very young age and actually, my love for sports journalism did as well. I remember in elementary school they did the “what do you want to be when you grow up” and I always put sportscaster! So now in my adult life I have taken that love and used it in my two sports podcasts that have amassed over 11,000 listens Wide Left Sports and Chin Music with Mitch and Tony.
You also throughout the year can find me at just about any sporting event we have going on in the area. Whether it be high school sports, college at Montana State University Billings (MSUB), where I am a student studying media studies, or my true happy place, Dehler Park, on a summer night watching and sometimes announcing legion or semi-pro baseball.
I so look forward to further columns on this platform and can not wait to show you the reader, a bit about sports here in the greater Billings area!
