Arlington High School Soccer Secures Victory Against Ridgeline in State Tournament Opener

Arlington High School Boy's Soccer topped Ridgeline 1-0 in Tuesday's state tournament play opening round. 

Arlington High School's (AHS)  Kyler Allen broke the 0-0 gridlock with a goal in the 78th minute to give the Eagles an away victory.  

"We [AHS] knew that Ridgeline had won their conference and averaged 3-4 goals a game. We devised a game plan after our coaching staff watched hours and hours of film on them, and we executed it perfectly, said AHS Head Coach Kieren Raney. "I am so proud of the boys! We were disciplined, patient, unwavering, and downright determined. It showed as we took down a top team in the state," Raney exclaimed.

Arlington High’s Next Opponent

AHS will next play Lincoln High School this Friday (May 17th) at 4:30 pm at Memorial Stadium in Seattle."Now we move forward to a massive opponent; Lincoln 2023 state champions are next. It will be tough, but we will give it our all," said Raney.

AHS’s Road to the WIAA State Tournament

It has been a historic season for Washington State’s Arlington High School Boy's Soccer. 

On Saturday, the  Arlington High School (AHS) Eagles topped Shorecrest 2-0 in the district playoffs to earn a state birth for the first time in nearly 40 years.
