Former Seattle Thunderbird Goalie Signs with NHL Club
According to the Western Hockey League (WHL), the Winnipeg Jets have signed netminder Thomas Milic to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The netminder from Coquitlam, B.C., is a former WHL Goaltender of the Year and Playoffs MVP and won the 2023 WHL Championship with the Seattle Thunderbirds.
The Winnipeg Jets selected Milic in the fifth round, 151st overall, at the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
The 21-year-old is coming off his first pro season, which saw him start with the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals.
After earning his first professional shutout, winning ECHL Goaltender of the Week, and advancing to the ECHL All-Star Game, Milic was promoted to the AHL’s Manitoba Moose.
